Ms. Angela Roamer

Ms. Angela Roamer is the orchestra director at Avon Intermediate East where she currently teaches 6thgrade beginning orchestra. She is in her sixth year of teaching strings and previously taught at both AIS East and AIS West for the last 3 years. Ms. Roamer spent the first two years of her career teaching middle school orchestra at Franklin Township Middle Schools East and West, working with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade orchestras.

Ms. Roamer is a music educator originally from Massapequa Park, New York and attended Massapequa High School. She graduated in May 2013 from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, New York with a B.A. in Music Education and concentrations in violin and music in special education. Although violin is her primary instrument, Ms. Roamer also plays bass, viola, cello, ukulele, guitar, and djembe. In her collegiate years, she performed with the Crane Symphony Orchestra. Notable performances include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, under the direction of visiting conductor, Gunther Schuller and Verdi’s Requiem in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, NYC under the direction of Ann Howard Jones.

She currently lives in Greenwood, Indiana with her boyfriend Kory, dog, Jean Grey, and two cats, Mirri and Rogue. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, photography, traveling and working out at Pure Barre.
