Mr. Tim Titzer
I am excited to be at Avon High School this year teaching Algebra 2 and Honors Algebra 2.
I received my undergraduate degree in Education from Indiana University in 2013 and then received my masters in Education from the University of Portland in 2016. So far, I have taught in Seattle, Washington for 2 years, Parker, Colorado for 3 years and now Indiana for a couple years. While I was in Seattle, I was lucky enough to teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math while also teaching Geometry, 7th grade Literature, Language Arts, Spelling, Health, and Religion at St. Benedict Catholic School. While teaching at this school I was a part of a program called PACE where I taught at St. Benedict's during the school year and went to University of Portland in the summer. Once graduating from Portland, I moved to Colorado and married my wife, Katie Titzer. While in Parker, Colorado, I taught at Legend High School for 3 years. While at Legend, I got to teach Algebra 1, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2 / Trig, and Trig/ PreCalculus. After 3 years in Colorado, my wife and I decided to move back to Indiana because we had just had our first daughter, Marlo.
I am originally from Newburgh, Indiana and my wife is from Fishers, Indiana, so we decided to move somewhere closer to both families, so we chose Avon. We have greatly enjoyed living in Avon and are excited to become bigger members of the community every year.
