Mrs. Angela Easterday

Mrs. Angela Easterday (Roamer) is the orchestra director at Avon Intermediate East where she currently teaches 6thgrade beginning orchestra. She has taught orchestra for 8 years, spending the last 5 of them in Avon. Mrs. Easterday spent the first two years of her career teaching middle school orchestra at Franklin Township Middle Schools East and West, working with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade orchestras. Mrs. Easterday is a music educator originally from Massapequa Park, New York and attended Massapequa High School. She graduated in May 2013 from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, New York with a B.A. in Music Education and concentrations in violin and music in special education. Although violin is her primary instrument, Mrs. easterday also plays bass, viola, cello, ukulele, guitar, and djembe. In her collegiate years, she performed with the Crane Symphony Orchestra. Notable performances include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, under the direction of visiting conductor, Gunther Schuller and Verdi’s Requiem in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, NYC under the direction of Ann Howard Jones. Mrs. Easterday was recently accepted to Ball State University to begin her Masters Degree in Music Education in the summer of 2021.

She currently lives in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband Kory, 1 dog, and 3 cats. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, photography, traveling and walking around downtown Indy.
