AHS Thespian Troupe Selected to Perform at State Conference
Congratulations to Avon High School Troupe #8320, whose production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame was recently selected to perform as the All-Conference production at the 2019 Indiana Thespians State Conference. This prestigious honor allows a troupe to present a full-length play or musical at the State Conference.

Mrs. Caitlyn Steckbeck
Mrs. Caitlyn Steckbeck comes from Merrillville, IN, where she participated in community theatre since she was 10 years old. Her love for high school theatre and Indiana Thespians led her to pursue her Bachelor of Science from the University of Indianapolis in the area of Theatre Teaching. Mrs. Steckbeck later received her Masters in Education through an online program at the University of Georgia. She is currently pursueing her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction in Arts Education through Indiana University.
Along with teaching theatre, Mrs. Steckbeck continues to volunteer with Indiana Thespians as a member of the Adult Executive Board by being the co-sponsor of the State Thespian Officers (STOs). Mrs. Steckbeck directs the fall musical, the Thespian contest show, and the spring play.
