• E-Learning Activities for Friday, April 24th

Theme:  Farm  *All activities for today will be found on this page only*

Gross Motor:   Sing and dance to these fun farm songs:

    The Animals on the Farm

    Chicken Count

    Old MacDonald Had a Farm

    Let's go to the Farm

Fine Motor:   Does your child like eggs?  This is a perfect opportunity to make eggs for a meal today with him or her!  You can talk about how eggs come from chickens on the farm.  They can help you crack the eggs into the bowl.  Give them a whisk and let them help you stir the eggs in a bowl as you pour in the milk and salt/pepper.

If your child does not like eggs, then have him decorate/color a large egg shape (oval) that you have drawn on paper!  They can use crayons to color (focus on coloring inside the boundaries of the lines), then add some stickers if you have any around the house.

Sensory/Fine Motor: Make a mud pie outside!  Have your child scoop up some dirt into a bucket.  Give him/her a cup of water to pour over the dirt to turn it into mud.  Have him mix the water and dirt together with their hands to form mud to make a mud pie!  Have your child collect some grass, leaves, flowers, sticks, or rocks while outside to sprinkle over the mud pie for decoration when it is done!

Extra:  Model for your child how to feed the mud pie to their animals.  Have your child imitate taking a plastic farm animal (or any animal on hand) and feed that animal the mud pie!

Social Emotional:   Play some games with your child, draw some pictures, go on a walk - just be with your child and be social with your child!  They love this time with you so much!

Language:   Watch this video to talk about the names of each animal to review from Wednesday:

    What is it?
