E-Learning Activities for Friday, May 15th!
Theme: Weather *All activities for today will be found on this page only*
Gross Motor: Click on the link below and see if you can do some of these weather themed yoga poses with your child:
Fine Motor: Color a rainbow! Draw a rainbow for your child on a piece of paper. For each section of the rainbow, ask your child to find that color crayon prior to coloring (Can you find the red...orange...yellow... green....blue...purple?). Really try to focus on him/her coloring within the boundaries of each section rather than coloring across the page. You may even do some hand over hand coloring to talk about little strokes when coloring and to help your child gain control of the section being colored.
Sensory/Social Emotional: Play-Dough time! Work with your child to roll out the play dough into snakes with their hands. Use cookie cutters to make shapes. Make some weather related things together! A few examples would be to make a cloud, a sun, a raindrop, a lightning bolt, or a rainbow! Work along side with your child to help him/her imitate what you are doing and get help when needed.
Talk about the different weather pictures below. See if your child knows any of them. Look out the window and see which picture below matches what the weather is like for that day. (rainy, cloudy, windy, snowy, sunny, storming).
Do you have any weather related books at home to read to your child? If so, read it to them, talking about pictures in the story as you go.
