Avon Schools is powered by more than 1,400 educators and support staff, and this week is about shining a spotlight on the work they do to support all our nearly 10,500 students belong, learn, and grow.
Avon is a beautifully diverse community, and this diversity is one of our greatest strengths. If you want to see the world, you can purchase a passport and plan a trip, or you can attend the 2022 Culture Fair at Avon High School.
The final weeks of the 2021-22 school year are right in front of us. They are sure to be weeks of learning and growth with fun, memorable experiences for students, teachers, and the community scattered throughout.
Three Avon High School educators – Lisa Kern, Dr. Catherine Lewis, and Matthew Payne – won 2022 Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowships. Meet these outstanding educators, read about their plans, learn about the program, and see a list of past winners.

The belief that people are the product of their life’s purpose and the desire to help students thrive at Avon High School and beyond is what drove Dean of Students Dr. Aaron Willis to begin Avon Men of Purpose (AMP).
In a series of meetings, Avon High School students and members of the community had the opportunity to provide input and feedback on the upcoming renovation and expansion project.
Two Avon heroes, John Essex and Elijah Norwood, recently revealed their identities when they signed up to substitute teach at Sycamore Elementary, the school their children attend.
Four Avon High School juniors have been named Rising Stars of Indiana.
