Indiana's Human Sexuality Policy
Indiana Senate Bill 442 establishes clear requirements for how human sexuality instruction must be delivered in schools. Under this law:
- Local school boards must review and approve all instructional materials.
- Curriculum resources must be posted online for parents and guardians to access and review.

The following curricular materials were approved by the Avon Board of School Trustees on October 6, 2025, after review of parent/guardian feedback.
Grade 4-5 Curriculum
The videos are viewed with our 4th and 5th grade students in the spring each year, and align with Indiana’s recent legislation, Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 442. The videos are accompanied by Q&A session with screened questions. Students write questions on index cards and the presenter decides which to read aloud.
