Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Avon Schools is committed to being inclusive and accessible for everyone.
In Avon Schools, we serve a diverse population of students and our school corporation is strengthened and enriched by people with disabilities. Accessibility is an approach to communication and engagement that recognizes the identities, experiences, and needs of our entire community. It goes beyond legal accommodations for students, educators, employees, and community members with disabilities.
Accessibility creates a community where everyone can have the opportunity to thrive.
What are we doing?
To help us make the Avon Community School Corporation website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Avon Community School Corporation website.
How are we doing?
We've worked hard on the Avon Community School Corporation website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.
Let us know what you think.
