At River Birch, we serve over 800 students in grades K-4. We strive to build strong relationships because we know it's vital to a student's success in school. Our emphasis on cognitively challenging learning opportunities coupled with supporting the social emotional needs of our learners has made our school a high performing school since inception in 2010.
We are committed to the develoment of the whole child. What does that mean? It means that we are actively engaged to ensure we offer experiences to ehance the health, safety, engagement, challenge, and support. Click here to learn more more about how we support the social growth and development of each student through Franklin Covey's Leader in Me.
We value and celebrate diversity. Our learners understand this is a global world and one we are excited to introduce to them. We are a school built on a foundation based on the Six Standards of Effective Pedagogy, we will share photos and videos of want learning and leading look like at River Birch Elementary. The Six Standards of Effective Pedagogy, developed by Dr. Annela Teemant and Dr. Serena Tyra, are the base of the work we do each day. The standards will look and feel different in each classroom, which values and respects the professionalism of our teachers as individuals.
