Meet Your Counselor
Paul QuirkeHi, I am Paul Quirke. I am starting my 22nd year as a guidance counselor for the Avon CommunitySchool Corporation. I spent my first five years as an elementary school counselor in Avon before moving to Avon Middle School. I also completed my year long internship at Avon High School before being hired as an elementary counselor. I grew up in Michigan where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University. I then moved to Indiana to earn my master’s degree in Counseling/Counselor Education from Indiana University. My time is spent announcing, watching, and attending sporting events; playing golf or bowling; and relaxing. Kasey BaughnHello, My name is Kasey Baughn, one of the counselor at Avon Middle School South. After graduating from Ben Davis High School in Wayne Township, I attended Indiana University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies. I completed my bachelor’s degree, and I immediately started graduate school for Counseling/Counselor Education to become a School/Guidance counselor. While attending classes for my graduate degree, I worked as in intern for Avon Middle School for the 2005-2006 school year. At the end of the school year, I was offered a position as a school counselor for the following 2006-2007 school year.
