B.S. Special Education Generalist (K-12) Severe/Profound Emphasis
Mr. Benjamin Taylor
Hello and thanks for coming to my home page. I am new to Cedar Elementary and am so excited to be a part of this wonderful school community.
I attended Brigham Young University–Idaho and graduated in December 2019 with a bachelor of science degree in Special Education (K-12) with an emphasis in severe and profound disabilities. I love working with children and their families and seeing my students make progress.
Before attending university, I lived in Montevideo, Uruguay (a small country south of Brazil and east of Argentina in South America) from 2013 to 2015 as a religious and humanitarian missionary. While living in Uruguay I learned to speak fluent Spanish as well as conversational Portuguese.
My wife, Daniella, and I have been married since 2017. She is an economist and data analyst for the State of Indiana. She does research and data analysis for programs helping people who are experiencing homelessness in Indiana. Daniella is from La Paz, Bolivia (a landlocked country in South America) and grew up speaking Spanish and French. We try to visit her family in Bolivia as often as we can. At home, we love to cook Bolivian food, listen to salsa music, and speak Spanish.
I look forward to meeting you in person. Please feel free to contact me with whatever questions or concerns you have.
