17-Time State Champions
The Avon Marching Black & Gold are, once again, Indiana State Champions.
"This is an Avon Schools accomplishment," says Director Matt Harloff. "Avon Band is not the Avon Band without our community, administration, and staff of ALL schools, Avon Athletics, Avon Band Directors and staff, and most importantly the students and their parents."
Since 2001, Avon has ammassed 17 marching band state championships. They have four 2nd-place finishes and one 3rd-place finish. Avon has now won at least one state or national title every school year since the 1995-1996 school year. The Avon Marching Black & Gold now has 62 total state championships across all disciplines and 20 more National or World Championships.

Congratulations, Avon Marching Black & Gold. We're so excited to celebrate with you through the remainder of the season and, of course, during your nationally televised performance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
