2026 IU-Indy Math Contest State Champion

I wanted to share some great news about some of our math students.
Throughout the past three months 16 Avon High School students competed in the Indiana University-Indianapolis State Mathematics Contest. Over the weekend, we learned that four students achieved Honorable Mention status:
Seniors
- Rithek Sankar Sudhakar Shankar
- Just Tran
Juniors
- Fortunate Agboola
- Laith Mohamed
We also learned that junior Jonas Eklou (pictured) was named the 2026 IU-Indy Math Contest state champion and will receive a full four-year scholarship to IU-Indy for his efforts. Jonas is the third such Avon student to receive this honor and the first since 2014.
