AHS Senior Wins Prestigious IHSAA Scholarship

Avon High School senior Adelyn Wyndham earned the distinction of being one of only 12 Indiana seniors to win a 2025 Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Eugene C. Cato Memorial Scholarship.

A four-year member of the varsity volleyball and tennis teams and academic all-star — she's the salutatorian of the class of '25 — Adelyn has been invited to receive her award at the IHSAA Foundation Impact Awards banquet on April 17 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center. Adelyn will continue playing volleyball during her time at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she will begin studying this fall.

According to the IHSAA press release, "The Eugene C. Cato Memorial Scholarship is presented to student athletes, who are making an impact on competition, within the classroom, and in their community." The scholarship is the largest and longest-standing IHSAA scholarship, and it is awarded to student-athletes who exemplify the mission behind education-based athletics.

Congratulations, Adelyn!
