AHS Student Chosen as 4H National Conference Delegate
Avon High School student Adelaide Mabanta has been selected as one of four Hoosier delegates to the National 4H Conference. She'll journey to Washington DC in April to participate.
We conducted a quick interview with Adelaide about the honor.
How'd you get involved with 4H?
I went to the Hendricks Cointy Fair and saw all the projects and that sparked my interest.
What does this opportunity mean to you?
It is a huge honor. I’m so excited to represent Indiana and learn more about the government.
What are you most looking forward to?
I’m most looking forward to meeting up with other 4H-ers around the country and share our ideas with one another.
How has your participation in 4H complemented your Avon education?
It has taught me to think and speak on the spot. This has definitely helped me with my experiences in DECA.
