AMS South Students Savor Cultural Fair

Trying out new foods is one of the most meaningful ways to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultures different than your own. Sharing food with someone from a new culture is even more enriching.

Avon Middle School South students and staff had a chance to tour around the gymnasium to experience dozens of countries, all represented by their classmates. As they toured, learning more about their friends' cultures, they had the opportunity to taste some new flavors and smell some new smells — and experience some zesty spices!

Students enjoyed interacting with friends, touring around the gym, and experiencing new flavors. This cultural fair is just one way students are getting to know and appreciate one another better.
