Attend Voc Rehab Info Night

Attend Voc Rehab Info Night

The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) provides quality individualized services to enhance and support people with disabilities to prepare for, obtain, or retain employment. Individuals work closely with a VR counselor throughout the process. Through active participation in their rehabilitation, people with disabilities achieve a greater level of independence in their workplace and living environments. VR services may be appropriate for college-bound students seeking support with college, students entering the workforce out of high school that will need guidance in applying for and retaining a job, or individuals with more involved disabilities that may need assistance in exploring employment options.

All parents of seniors with an IEP or 504 are encouraged to attend this meeting!

Date: Tuesday, September 23
Time: 7:00-8:30 pm
Location: Avon High School Room C107 (enter Door 6)

Renea Semones from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation will be joining Avon parents and students to give a brief overview of services available and answer any questions you may have about how and when to apply for VR services. Mrs. Lobosky will be present to speak about opportunities for your child to receive help with career coaching during his/her school day at AHS. We hope that you will join us for this session.
