Avon's State Champion Orchestra

Avon's State Champion Orchestra

The Avon High School Symphony Orchestra won the 2025 Indiana State Championship, their fourth state title since 2018.

Bravo!

Just this week, Avon Schools was notified that we are — once again — among the best communities in the nation for music education, and the Orchestra's latest state championship adds an exclamation point to the recognition. It is an entirely appropriate and well-deserved culmination of the music-education experience Avon students enjoy from elementary school through graduation.

"If you closed your eyes during their performance," notes ACSC Superintendent Dr. Scott Wyndham, "you would believe you were listening to the Indianapolis Symphony. They are that good!"

In a letter from the Indiana State School Music Association, Executive Director Michael Bridgewater wrote, "The level of dedication and musical development [you] displayed is an accomplishment that hopefully is a proud moment for you, your students, and your community."

It is!

Congratulations, students, directors, educators, and volunteers, for an incredible championship season! You make us all #AvonProud.
