Celebrating More Orioles - May 2026
The Avon Board of School Trustees commended four outstanding math scholars at their working session on May 18.
AHS Calculus Team
The Avon High School Calculus Team — represented by three of only 13 students across the nation to claim individual championships in the Calculus Division: Katie Quinney, Andrew Meyers, and Jay Desai — are the 2025-26 National Champions of the Continental Mathematics League. This is the fourth consecutive title for AHS and the seventh overall. AHS is the only Indiana high school to place in the top five in the national competition.
Jonas Eklou
AHS senior Jonas Eklou is the 2026 Indiana University Indianapolis Mathematics Contest State Champion, the third Oriole to ever earn this incredible distinction. For his efforts, Jonas has received a full four-year scholarship to IU Indianapolis.
