Celebrating Orioles - April '26

At their April 27 working session, the Avon Board of School Trustees commended a state (and national) champion athlete and a six-time state champion dance ensemble from Avon High School and celebrated model students from Avon Middle School North.

The Board issued a resolution of commendation for Kaleb Rasheed for his State Champion shot put performance this spring. He is among the best shot put athletes in the nation and he's preparing to head to DePaul University to study nursing and continue his Track & Field career.

The Board also issued a commendation to the Avon High School Dance Team's Large Ensemble for their sixth-consecutive state championship. 

Finally, the Board celebrated the academic and extracurricular achievements of three model Avon Middle School North students: Camden Brown, Samantha Grammar, and Raphael Ahonon.
