Coach Gibson is the Colts Coach of the Week

Coach Rob Gibson has been named the Colts Coach of the Week. Along with a $2,000 gift from the Colts to the Avon Athletic Department, the football team enjoyed a visit from Mike Prior, the Youth Football Commissioner at the Indianapolis Colts.

Prior, whose professional football career was marked by overcoming adversity, shared valuable insights with the student athletes. He encouraged the team to make the most of their opportunities and to stick to the game plan their coaches create no matter what the scoreboard says. 

The 1-0 Orioles came back from a 15-point deficit on Friday night and beat Decatur Central in overtime.
