DECA Conquers State, Heads to Nationals

DECA Conquers State, Heads to Nationals

DECA state results are in. The season isn't quite over for several students. They're headed to nationals.

"Of our 182 members this year," says Co-Sponsor Adam Clark, "we took 111 of them to state and 11 are attending nationals."

Two Avon High School DECA students brought home State Championships in their areas of focus. Nine additional high-performing participants will join them at the National Competition in Atlanta at the end of April.

Our State Champions are:

  • Eli Neal—Food Marketing
  • Jay Desai—Personal Financial Literacy

Joining Eli and Jay at Nationals are:

  • Claire Vetter—Business Services
  • Hannah Foster—Human Resources
  • Josie Eilert—Principles of Entrepreneurship
  • Aadh Singh—Professional Selling
  • Ty Arbogast—Personal Financial Literacy
  • Olivia Drosche/Cheyenne Voss—School Based Enterprise
  • Halle Babinec/Brooke Widner—Thrive Academy

Congratulations to all 11 of these students—as well as advisors Troy Drosche and Adam Clark—for an outstanding state performance.

Best of luck at Nationals!
