Duke Energy to Benefit MLM Community Pantry

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Duke Energy employees and their families will help prepare food baskets for those in need at the Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry.

The pantry serves Avon Community School Corporation employees and families who have a child enrolled. The volunteer effort coincides with a series of community service events taking place across the country to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King.

Volunteerism is an integral part of Duke Energy's commitment to the communities it serves. Throughout the year, Duke Energy employees volunteer thousands of hours in the communities where they live and work. The company also provides philanthropic support, contributing more than $2 million annually in charitable gifts to Indiana communities. More information about the Duke Energy Foundation and employee volunteerism can be found at

Thank you to our partners and friends at Duke Energy!
