Episode 088: Get to Know Avon's 3 Middle Schools

In the summer of 2025, for the first time in our school corporation's history, Avon Community School Corporation will open a third middle school. On July 30, the first day of the 2025-26 school year, students in grades 6-8 will walk into school at Avon Middle School North, Avon Middle School South, and Avon Middle School West. 

In this conversation, Dr. Wyndham talks with AMS North Principal Mike McKinney, AMS South Principal Dr. Dan Peo, and AMS West Principal Dan Chapin about the work that is going on to prepare our three middle schools to welcome students this July. From AMS North's new classroom block and Orchestra room to AMS South's new Orchestra room and internal renovations to the new construction that is well underway at AMS West, there is a lot happening to prepare these buildings for the new school year and beyond. Hear from the principals about how they're working hard to coordinate efforts, ensuring that no matter what school Avon's middle students attend, they're going to get experiences that are much more alike than different.
