In Avon Schools, our mission is ALL belong, learn, and grow. We know there's no one-size-fits-all solution to education and that a growing number of students and their families are already choosing online learning options for their children for a variety of reasons.

Before you decide if Avon Online is right for you, let's talk about a few of the big questions about this new educational option.

Why is Avon starting an online school?

We believe that there is no substitute for the in-school experience we can provide for Avon students. At the same time, we understand that students and their families have many personal reasons for opting to learn online. We want ALL students to belong, learn, and grow in Avon and ALL means ALL. These students deserve a chance to get the very best online learning experience possible, and we believe we're in the best position to provide that.

What platform/program does Avon Online use?

Avon Schools has a longstanding partnership with Indiana Online. It is the largest non-profit online course provider in the state. It features:

• Experienced, fully licensed Indiana educators
• Synchronous (real-time) core classes
• Asynchronous (at your own pace) elective classes
• Accredited curriculum including AP and Dual Credit options
• What I Need (WIN) dedicated intervention times on Wednesdays
• and more

Avon Online students will experience the best that this excellent platform offers while retaining their connection to the support and resources of Avon Schools.

There will be occasions (e.g., state-required testing days, orientation, and et cetera) when parents/guardians will be required to bring students onsite. Transportation is not provided.

Who can attend?

Avon Online is accepting applications for students in grades 9-12 who live within the boundaries of our school district in Avon-Washington Township. We are also accepting a limited number of students who live outside Avon but who want to participate in this high-quality program.

How do I enroll?

It depends on your current scenario.

• If you live within Avon-Washington Township and your child will be in grades 9-12 next school year, click the Avon Online interest form button below.
