Introducing River Birch's New Principal
We are excited to introduce Gina Stepusin. During the May 12 meeting of the Board of School Trustees, she was approved as River Birch Elementary School's new Principal. She will begin her new role this summer, replacing Mrs. Gorgas, who is moving to a different district.
Mrs. Stepusin comes to Avon Schools with a wealth of experience. She has been Assistant Principal at Stout Field Elementary School in Wayne Township since 2021. Before that, she served as an Instructional Coach. She also brings to River Birch her 15 years of elementary teaching experience in Title 1 and grades 1, 2, and 3. Mrs. Stepusin distinguished herself from a strong field of candidates because of her instructional leadership at Stout Field Elementary.
Mrs. Stepusin holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Butler University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Ball State University.
