Liam Hoffman, Academic All-Star
Avon High School senior Liam Hoffman is an Indiana Academic All-Star. This is the highest academic honor given to Indiana students by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP). Hoffman is one of only 40 Hoosier private and public accredited school students to receive the recognition this year.

"Academic All-Star distinction recognizes seniors who excel in the classroom first and foremost," wrote IASP in a press release, "but who also are actively involved in their schools and communities, and take on leadership roles in those activities."
Hoffman certainly fits the bill. A two-time Speech State Champion and involved in athletics and performing arts at AHS, Hoffman is the class of '24 valedictorian.
"It was definitely a huge honor to win the award," says Hoffman. "Being recognized at the state level with a ton of other amazing students from Indiana was certainly a great privilege, and I’m so glad to have been a part of that honor. I know that seeing all of the accomplishments of the other winners definitely inspired me, and I hope that many others get to see the amazing talent that our state has to offer."
"[Liam] deserves every wonderful thing that is happening in his life," says AHS Performing Arts Department Chair and Director of Orchestras Dean Westman.
AHS Teacher and Speech & Debate Team Co-Coach Linda Langford agrees, calling Hoffman "a very special student."
Hoffman will attend Princeton University in the fall.
Congratulations, Liam! Thank you for representing AHS so well!
