Meet AMS West's Assistant Principals

Meet AMS West's Assistant Principals

At the March 10 meeting of the Avon Board of Trustees, the Board unanimously approved the hiring of Avon Middle School West's first Assistant Principals, Jessica Rabedeau and Briana Temple. They distinguished themselves from a very crowded and competitive field of candidates.

Jessica Rabedeau

Mrs. Rabedeau has been a teacher in Avon since 2014. She was a English Language teacher at Avon Middle School North and then a 6th grade Math/Science teacher at Avon Intermediate School East until 2022. For the last three years she has served as Dean at AIS East. She’s been involved in countless leadership opportunities in her various roles to support students and staff. Mrs. Rabedeau earned a BS in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Language Development, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.

Briana Temple

Mrs. Temple has taught secondary US History, World History, Humanities, and English at IPS, Warren Twp, and Pike Township. She then transitioned into an Instructional Coach role at George Washington High School, where she served for 2 years. This is her first year serving as the Dean at Avon High School, where she has supported students with attendance and discipline issues while working closely with students and families to find success at school. Mrs. Temple has earned a BA in Political Science, BA in Criminal Justice, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Educational Leadership. She is working on her Doctor of Education degree at Oakland City University.

"I've got a great team already," says Principal Dan Chapin, "and I'm excited to get started!"

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Temple and Mrs. Rabedeau. They join Principal Dan Chapin, and their hiring represents one more big step toward our opening in July.
