Officer Craig Receives Board Commendation

Avon Schools Police Department Officer Richard Craig was present at the June 13 meeting of the Avon Board of School Trustees to receive a Resolution of Commendation, the highest honor the board can issue. 

Craig is the 2022 NASRO School Resource Officer of the Year for District 5, a five-state region.

Officer Craig has served on the ACSC PD since 2020. In that time, he has made a consistent effort to ensure a safe and secure environment in Avon Schools by building and maintaining high quality interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and community members. He also uses the impressive social media presence he has developed to positively influence students and law enforcement officers locally and nationally.
