Our 2025 Teacher & Support Staff of the Year

Honorees chosen for outstanding contributions to ACSC's mission: ALL belong, learn, and grow.

Avon High School Transition Coordinator Kimberly Lobosky is our corporation's Teacher of the Year and Sycamore Elementary School Special Education Assistant Janan Akers is our Support Staff of the Year for 2025.

Both were honored in front of 1,500 coworkers at the Avon Schools Back-to-School Celebration on Monday, July 28. In addition to hearing warmhearted tributes from their Principals Matt Shockley and Nicole Harris and being visited by members of their respective families, Mrs. Lobosky and Mrs. Akers got to watch these videos.

Both Mrs. Lobosky and Mrs. Akers will be featured on Superintendent Dr. Scott Wyndham's podcast, Orioles In-The-Know. Mrs. Lobosky's episode is out now and Mrs. Akers' episode is coming in early August.

Mrs. Lobosky's portfolio is in the hands of the Indiana Department of Education. She should find out soon if she's advanced to Indiana's Top 25 Teacher's of the Year.
