Redistricting Communications Receive National Recognition

Avon Community School Corporation received a Golden Achievement Award from the National School PR Association (NSPRA) for its yearslong comprehensive communication efforts surrounding the 2025 Redistricting project.

"The goal that drove us from the beginning of this major change initiative," says Communications Coordinator Kevin Carr, "was to make sure that everyone affected by our redistricting project — students, families, employees, and the public — understood the 'why, what, and how' of the project and that they could remain informed and engaged each step of the way." 

This is the third time Avon Schools communication efforts have been recognized by NSPRA. Previous awards were given for the district's COVID infographic and district rebranding project.

Avon's Redistricting project, 'Making Room for More', will culminate with the opening of Avon Middle School West and the reorganization of district schools into a K-5 elementary and 6-8 middle school structure in July 2025.
