Roborioles Take the Lead

Four Avon High School Roborioles are serving this year on the Board of Directors for FIRST Indiana Robotics. There are 21 Hoosier high school students on this statewide board, which means AHS is well represented.

AHS students who will serve on the board this year are:

• Hannah Harvey (Vice President)
• Stephen Onochie (Secretary)
• Peyton Holloway
• Robert Brown

"Joining the FIRST Indiana Robotics (FIN) Student Board has been an incredible experience for me," says Stephen Onochie. "Throughout my 6+ years involved in robotics competitions, I have learned valuable skills and traits that I would love to pass on to younger generations. Joining the Student Board has given me the opportunity to truly fulfill this goal of mine throughout all of Indiana. I plan to do my best during my time serving!"

The Roborioles compete across the state every year and they continue to bring home awards. Last year, the highest achievement available — a Dean's List Finalist — was awarded to Peyton Holloway. FIRST values leadership and commitment, and it is great to know Avon students continue to be recognized for embodying these values in robotics and achieving success in many additional STEM disciplines.
