Throwing His Weight Around
For Avon High School senior Kaleb Rasheed, a State Championship in discus during his junior season wasn't enough. He won another State Championship, this time in shot put, during his senior season. That wasn't enough either. He placed among the national's best shot put athletes.
He is literally throwing his weight around. And it's taking him places.
He doesn't stop in field events. His academic efforts have earned him a 4.7+ GPA. He's headed to Chicago this summer to attend DePaul University on an athletic scholarship, where he'll continue to reach for even greater distances on the field and in the classroom.
Well done, Kaleb. We're excited to see how far you'll go — and throw! — in the future.
