Town of Avon Proclaims 'Black & Gold Day'
According to a proclamation issued by Town Council, Friday, December 13 will be 'Black & Gold Day' in the Town of Avon in honor of the triumphant season just completed by the Avon Marching Black & Gold.
- They started by winning their 17th Indiana State School Music Association State Championship.
- Then, they earned their second consecutive — and fifth overall — Bands of America Grand National Championship.
- They capped this all off by marching in front of millions during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Avon Marching Black & Gold continue not only to set the standard for high school marching band success but also to be excellent representatives of our entire school corporation and community.
