Transportation Dept. Honors Veterans

Transportation Dept. Honors Veterans

ACSC employees make positive and lasting contributions to virtually every facet of our community. We are especially proud of our Transportation Department for their recent involvement with Honor Flight.

Each individual in this photo volunteered multiple hours of their weekend to support our veterans by transporting them to and from the Indianapolis International Airport. The volunteers' morning responsibilities last from 4:00-7:30 am. They return at 7:30 pm and work until approximately midnight.

Avon Community School Corporation allows the use of buses at no cost for this patriotic service to our veterans.

The Honor Flight Network is a national network of independent Hubs working together to honor our nation's veterans with an all-expenses paid trip to the memorials in Washington, D.C., a trip many of our veterans may not otherwise be able to take.
