ACSC Guide to School Closings, Delays and Early Dismissals

To ensure that you can be notified by your school when emergencies, newsletters and  weather delays or closures are announced, parents/guardians of ACSC students may adjust preferences to receive telephone, email and/or text messages. Only Primary and Secondary cellphone, and email addresses provided by parents/guardians during student enrollment will be contacted automatically unless your preferences have been adjusted.  If you want to change your call preferences or add text alerts, you must register and set up your preferences in your ParentSquare account.   From this page you may sign into your account.  There is also an app for iPhones & Androids.

If you have not received an invite to ParentSquare, please contact your child's school. 

If your contact information is inoorrect, please contact your child's school to have PowerSchool updated with your current cell phone or email address.

Information about the Virtual Option and Weather Closures 

Avon Schools have been preparing to use the Indiana Department of Education's Virtual Option to continue student learning online if schools must be closed due to inclement weather.  Click here to learn more.


Weather Delay and Closure Notifications

At times school may be closed or have a delayed start because of bad weather or mechanical failure of heat, water, etc. in the school buildings. If such conditions exist, announcements will be made in several ways.


Parent Square Alert: You will be notified via email, text or app notification in language of choice.  You set preferences in your ParentSquare account. See info above if you don't have an account.
