We are excited to announce our new AEF Broadway Kids Theater Camp Director!

Kayvon Emitaz is a highly-achieving musician and composer, he has been studying music since the age of five. In addition to voice, he has also been playing piano for two decades. Kayvon has led multiple theatre productions in various roles, both on stage and behind-the-scenes (music directing, accompanying, conducting). As for composition, one of his orchestral works "Unsung Hero” was awarded first prize in a worldwide contest and had its world premiere at Carnegie Hall in New York.

In May of 2016, Kayvon graduated from Illinois State University with his Bachelor’s degree in music, and also went on to the University of California at Los Angeles to pursue his lifelong dream of film scoring. Since then, he has worked with names like Hans Zimmer and Heitor Pereira. He now resides in the Indianapolis area and is pursuing his Master’s degree, as well as teaching at White Oak Elementary in Avon.

Kayvon is also on the junior board of directors at Footlite Musicals, in addition to performing on stage as well as directing productions. He is excited to see where his musical journey will take him here in central Indiana!

Camp will be hosted at Avon Middle School North June 15-19. Mark your calendars and plan for another amazing theater performance from students who will be entering first grade through 8th grade in the fall of 2020 school year.
