AHS Student is National Merit Semi-Finalist

Avon High School Principal Matthew Shockley announced that Caroline Wadley is a Semifinalist in the 64th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. This academically talented high school senior will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $31 million.

In addition, Mr. Shockley shared that eight AHS students (Matthew Aleska, Colleen Maynard, Erin McLain, Micah Morefield, Autumn Mulinix, Riley Surber, Victoria Wendt and Victoria Zinyemba) were named as Commended Students in this highly competitive program. Three students (Edwin Cardona, Elizabeth Howard and Grace Newton) received special recognition as National Hispanic Scholars.
