AHS Teacher Selected for IU Award

Avon High School’s AP English Teacher Heather Meunier has been selected as a recipient of the Indiana University Armstrong Teacher Educator Award! She will be honored in April at IU-Bloomington by the School of Education. The Armstrong Teacher Educator Award recognizes educator excellence and provides financial support for top Indiana educators to work with current IU faculty and undergraduates in the classroom and early field experiences. Mrs. Meunier will spend some time at IU mentoring future educators during the fall semester.

Mrs. Meunier has taught at Avon High School for 12 years. She is a graduate of Indiana University's School of Education. She is also a former Avon Community School Corporation Teacher of the Year. 

Mrs. Meunier is the seventh ACSC educator to receive this prestigious nod. Here is a list of previous recipients:
