Dr. Michael Sullivan has been appointed Assistant Superintendent by the Avon Board of School Trustees. He will fill the position that was vacated by Dr. Scott Wyndham who was named superintendent of Avon Community School Corporation (ACSC) effective July 1. Dr. Sullivan will begin the position on August 3.
Dr. Sullivan joins ACSC from Dayton (OH) Public Schools where he served as Associate Superintendent. In past positions, he has teaching experience at all levels, as well as served as Chief Academic Officer for Clinton Central Schools (IN), Director of Curriculum and Director of Middle Schools for Fort Wayne Community Schools (IN) and in roles as Middle School and Elementary School Principal.
“We are very excited to have Dr. Sullivan join the Avon team,” stated Superintendent Scott Wyndham. “He brings strong experiences as a teacher, building principal, and district administrator, as well as a keen understanding of how the business and operations of the school district can best support the great education our students receive.”
