Since a 26-pay schedule doesn't divide evenly into a calendar year, the problem of payroll creep will continue. Payroll dates will continue moving earlier each year, which will require us to make adjustments that would be potentially more disruptive and in convenient to employees than any disruption caused by making this change. Our move to a 24-pay schedule eliminates the need to adjust for payroll creep in the future.

Yes. The most recent adjustment occurred in 2019. We delayed an early August pay date by one week. That adjustment moved the first paycheck from August 2 to August 9. However, by 2026 the first pay date of the school year has crept all the way back to July 31.

The above announcement from our CFO and Director of HR occurred 10 months before any changes. This was intended to give employees time to plan and adjust if necessary.
